Field Trips
Field trips are big part of our curriculum. Both leadership and aviation related field trips are conducted throughout the school year. A popular leadership-related field trip is to the Ronald W. Reagan Presidential Library and Museum located in Simi Valley. Here students not only learn about the legacy and leadership of President Reagan, but the museum provides historical insight into an important part of our history: the end of the Cold War and the fall of the Berlin Wall. Aviation-related field trips to the annual Edwards Air Force Base (Lancaster) and March Air Reserve Air Base (Riverside) Air Shows, the March Field Air Museum (Riverside), and the Van Nuys Airport Career Day provide opportunities for students to broaden their knowledge and appreciation of both commercial and military aviation. When students visit the March Field Air Museum, they also visit the nearby Riverside National Cemetery, our nation’s second-largest military cemetery and home to a moving Medal of Honor Memorial.
