Awards and Scholarships

What student doesn’t wish to put on their college or business resume that they’ve received a nationally recognized award or have received an academic scholarship? Students in AFJROTC not only receive nearly 25 nationally recognized awards annually (more than any other on-campus program), but they also receive a number of scholarship awards as well: each of these awards and scholarships are specifically reserved for AFJROTC students. Because of the generally high academic standards they maintain, our students are always competitive for non-AFJROTC academic scholarships as well. Our AFJROTC alumni are full of success stories, many having been admitted into colleges such as Stanford, USC, UCLA, and the Air Force Academy. Many have also received full all-tuition paid ROTC scholarships to major universities as well.

Each of these awards and the majority of our scholarships are presented at our annual End-of-Year Banquet. This is one event that all students look forward to as the "best-of-the-best" are recognized for their outstanding academic and leadership achievements throughout the year. Awards and scholarships are presented from such organizations as the Air Force Association, American Legion, the Military Order of the Purple Heart, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Military Order of the World Wars.
